Vape7Store is committed to preventing the sale of nicotine and vaping products to persons under the age of 18. This policy explains our age-verification approach in compliance with UK law.

1. Legal Basis

We operate under the following UK legislation:

  • The Nicotine Inhaling Products (Age of Sale and Proxy Purchasing) Regulations 2015 — making it an offence to sell nicotine products to under-18s or to purchase on their behalf
  • The Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 (UK TRPR) — regulating the manufacture, presentation and sale of tobacco and related products including e-cigarettes
  • UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 — governing the collection and processing of age verification data

2. How We Verify Age

We use a layered approach to age verification:

  • Self-declaration on entry: Visitors are presented with an age gate on first visit and must confirm they are 18 or over before accessing the Site or viewing products.
  • Order-level verification: At checkout, customers confirm they are 18+ by completing their purchase. By placing an order you confirm you meet the age requirement.
  • Delivery-level verification: Our delivery partners may require proof of age (government-issued photo ID) upon delivery. If proof of age cannot be provided, delivery may be refused.

3. What Data Is Checked

At the site-entry stage, we record only a session flag indicating that the visitor has confirmed they are 18+. No government-issued ID or date of birth is collected at this stage.

At the order stage, the name and delivery address provided are matched against standard fraud-prevention checks. We do not routinely collect a date of birth at checkout, but we reserve the right to request proof of age for any order.

4. Data Retention

The age-verification session flag is stored in your browser's session storage and is automatically deleted when you close your browser. Order-level age confirmation is retained as part of your order record for 12 months, consistent with our broader data retention obligations.

5. GDPR Compliance

Where age verification data constitutes personal data under UK GDPR, we process it under the lawful basis of legal obligation (compliance with the Nicotine Inhaling Products Regulations 2015) and legitimate interest (preventing sale to minors). 6. Challenge 25 Policy

We operate a voluntary Challenge 25 policy. If our delivery partners or our team have reason to believe a customer may be under 25 years of age, they may request proof that the customer is 18 or over. Acceptable forms of ID include a passport, driving licence or a PASS-accredited proof-of-age card.
