Uwell Caliburn GPP Pods Explained: Which Ones Fit, and the Pack-Size Trap (UK 2026)

GPP stands for G Pod Platform. It is a single cartridge design that Uwell states is fully compatible with the Caliburn G5, G4 and G3 series — sixteen-plus devices sharing one pod. That is genuinely useful, and it is also where the confusion starts: GPP comes in top-fill and side-fill versions, in two coil generations, and — the part nobody mentions — in different pack sizes depending on which one you buy.
Which devices take a GPP cartridge
Uwell's own platform documentation lists these as compatible:

The practical upshot: if you own any recent Caliburn G-series device, spare pods you bought for an older one still work. That is unusually good behaviour in a category where manufacturers normally change the fitting every generation to sell you new pods.
The pack-size trap
Here is the detail that catches people out, and we only found it by checking Uwell's own UK distributor rather than trusting retailer listings.
The GPP Alpha cartridge is sold in two different pack sizes:

Both are called “Caliburn GPP Alpha replacement pods” in most shop listings. So when you see one shop cheaper than another, check the number in the box before you decide — a three-pack undercutting a four-pack is not actually cheaper. This is exactly why our own listing says 4 Pack in the title rather than leaving you to guess.
Standard GPP vs GPP Alpha
Alpha is the newer cartridge on the same platform, launched by Uwell in April 2026. Both fit the same devices. The difference is inside.

Uwell's claim for Alpha is flavour stability rather than raw output: the company says the tenth refill should taste like the first, which is the failure mode most people actually experience with pods. It is also the pod now included in the current Caliburn G5 kit, which ships with three of them.

Uwell also notes that GPP cartridges pair best with 50% VG or higher-PG e-liquid — which is to say ordinary UK nic salts rather than thick cloud-chasing liquid.
The anti-leak part, in plain English
Uwell builds GPP cartridges with what it calls U² technology: ultrasonic welding instead of glued seams, plus a u-shaped airflow channel. Uwell states this improves leak protection by 150% over its previous design. Flavour is handled by PRO-FOCS, which Uwell tests against both freebase nicotine and nic salts.
Marketing names aside, the two things that matter to you are that the seam is welded rather than bonded, and that the airflow path turns rather than running straight through — both of which make condensate less likely to reach your mouth.
Why UK GPP pods are 2ml
Uwell produces GPP cartridges in 2ml, 2.5ml and 3ml. Only the 2ml can be sold here: UK TPD rules cap the capacity of any nicotine-containing pod at 2ml. If a listing or a review quotes 3ml, it is describing the international version.
