Who I Am
My name is Ahmad. I have been running independent vape retail in the UK since 2017 — that is nearly a decade behind a counter, on the phone with MHRA-registered manufacturers, and standing in a stockroom counting bottles of nic salt one by one before the next compliance audit. Vape7Store is the online expression of that experience: every product on this site has been chosen by someone who has actually sold it, refilled it, watched it fail, and refunded it when it did.
What I Actually Do
I write the reviews on this site myself. I do the buying. I deal with the wholesalers. I read every TRPR update, every MHRA notification e-mail, every HMRC consultation document about the October 2026 Vaping Products Duty. When the disposable ban came in on 1 June 2025 I had already been transitioning the shelves for eight months — refillable pod kits, prefilled pod kits with rechargeable batteries, and 10 ml nic salt bottles capped at 20 mg/ml. That preparation is the reason this store still exists.
Areas of Expertise
- UK vape regulation: TRPR (Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016), MHRA notification process, age-verification compliance, retailer licensing in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- Tax and duty: the October 2026 Vaping Products Duty (20p/ml on nicotine liquid), the floor stock charge, and how independent retailers are pricing for it.
- Hardware: Lost Mary BM6000, Hayati Pro Ultra 25K, RandM Tornado, IVG Pro 10K, Crystal Pro Switch, Al Fakher Crown Bar, Elux — what fails, what doesn't, what the warranty actually covers.
- Harm reduction: helping ex-smokers find a device they will actually keep using. I have been doing this conversation across the counter for nine years. Nicotine strength, throat hit, MTL versus DTL, why the first kit matters more than every kit afterwards.
Qualifications & Industry Standing
I am a Personal Licence Holder under the Licensing Act 2003 (relevant for age-restricted retail), a registered VAT trader, and a member of the UK Vaping Industry Association (UKVIA) reading list — meaning I get every regulator briefing as it lands. I have completed the IVES (Independent Vape and E-cigarette Sellers) compliance training module and I keep up with NHS Stop Smoking Service guidance because half the customers who walk through the door are following it.
Why I Write This Way
Most of the vaping content online is rubbish. It is either copy-pasted manufacturer marketing, AI-generated filler, or affiliate articles written by people who have never sold a single device. The reviews on this site are the opposite: I tell you when a product is overpriced, I tell you when a wholesaler has dropped quality, and I tell you when a "30,000 puff" claim is closer to 18,000 in real-world use. If a customer would walk out of my physical shop unhappy, the article does not get published.
